Preventing risk in the software lifecycle

There are two sides to a Software Asset Management. The first is how will you identify and fix the licensing risks that exist today? The second is what are you doing to stop licensing risks being created in the future?

The picture attached shows the Software lifecycle. The latest release of the SAM ISO 19770-1 really hits home how important managing the lifecycle is to a SAM team. If you are creating value for your organization with SAM tools, but do not have control of the life cycle, that value will be eroded by new risk entering the estate. It's an impossible fight to win without full control.

The IT leadership we speak with are losing faith that SAM doesn’t get the job done. They want no more surprise spend, no more audits and increased value from the software they have. Does your SAM programme deliver this today or is it equipped to do so in the future?

Our Risk Prevention platform is designed to help your organization control how licenses are requested for the datacentre, SaaS and Cloud, using Risk Management akin to what you see in GRC tools for other IT risks, to ensure risk is identified and stopped before it is deployed.
