How are you preventing new risks?

How do you make sure software being deployed today and in the future, is not creating new licensing risks or next years expensive audit issue?

After your last audit, what governance did you put in place to stop this from happening again? If the answer is nothing, the risks will likely return and so will the audit.

For a Software Asset Management team to win (yes, you can win!) your mindset needs to be "how can we end risk permanently?". You need to not only address your discovered risks, but to also protect the organisation from new ones.

To achieve this, you must address the whole software lifecycle:

Selection / Purchase / Install / Management / Optimization / Retirement

SAM tools help us with the last 3 stages. For the first 3 however, the stock answer is "Process", but Visio diagrams on a SharePoint site without enforcement, fail. T

he modern approach, is an Integrated Risk Management platform designed to guide the organisation through this process, working along side your SAM tool, so risks can be called out and stopped before they happen.

If you would like help with this or to find out more about our Risk Management platform that addresses this problem, drop me an message - Chris
